Camphor Fiscally Fit Center (CFFC) uses a comprehensive approach to financial empowerment/literacy aimed at assisting individuals in these areas:
Accountability & Responsibility: We introduce and outline the participants’ responsibilities and teach accountability measures for managing the finances of individuals and families.
Budgeting To Create Savings: We guide participants through the tasks of monitoring current spending habits, creating an understandable spending plan, making lifestyle changes, monitoring their own progress, and controlling their spending to allow saving.
Understanding Your Credit: We guide participants as they analyze their credit information, create a strategy to correct negative credit history, and improve their credit position and FICO credit scores. An additional focus is identity theft.
Saving Accounts: We describe various methods of saving for goals. Saving methods will be discussed, as well as disciplines that must become a lifelong practice.
Intensive One-on-One Counseling: Over a six-month period, participants will acquire financial knowledge; increase their financial skills; and adopt a more positive attitude toward debt value. They will notice debt behavior changes, and improve their household financial position.
Snacks will be served.
